I have been a ham since 1957 and a radio operator since 1952. CW is still my favorite part of radio. I am also a county hunter. I have worked all U.S. counties ... first time award #45 ... 2nd time #165 ..., 3rd time #73 .., 4th time #40 ... and 5th time #26. Along with N4PN (ex W4YWX) Paul Newberry, I was responsible for the first County Hunter Mini convention at Jackson, Mississippi in March 1969. I also hosted the first National convention here in Mountain Home, AR in July 1969. I also hosted the 1975 National at Dogpatch and co-hosted the 1994 National at Springfield, MO with Bob, KØAYO. de Steve, K5KDG
